Sometimes I reply to a comment posted with Ping and don't really know if they actually use the site or have just included it in general Ping-age, if you see what I mean...

    Yeah, I know... But...

I knew about Ping AGES ago, (was on the closed beta long before it was 'launched'), and I still say now what I said then:

It's a great service if you truly want 'one-to-many' messaging. However if, like me, you have different audiences per service, then Ping might not be for you.

The folk that follow me on Jaiku are completely different to that on Twitter.. and that's just one example. It's rare that I'll share the same message across the different services.. Don't get me wrong, it does happen. But I prefer giving a different, more catered, signal to noise ratio per radio station..

    If you get my meaning?

I pick and choose it, if I'm going for mass coverage/sharing then I'll ping, if it's specific connections that I'm going for then I'll go direct to the relevant service/site. Ping's great for the general stuff I find :o)

Very true, however you are the james whatley (social networking guru) ;) however for me as my following is very small and none of my friends (bloody normobs) use twitter, jaiku, kwippy etc I prefer the mass push of my messages!
